Ezekiel 28:12-15

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

  • "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God" - Eden, the garden of God with all its vegetations and animals were prepared for Adam on the 6th day of creation week. And this anointed cherub that covereth was in this garden in his perfect state.

  • "the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold". - There are ten precious stones on the covering of this cherub signifying the fact that this angel is placed under the probation of God. Other examples: 1. Ten commandments, 2. Ten virgins, 3. ten years test given to Abraham before he failed the test and took Hagar as wife, 4. ten days Daniel was placed under a plant-based diet.

  • "in the day that thou wast created" - God created all things through the Word, and all things were created during the first 6 days of the creation week. [Colossians 1:16, John 1:1-3, Genesis 2:1]

  • 'the holy mountain of God" - The holy mountain of God originally referred to mount Horeb, also known is mount Sinai. This is the place where God appeared to Moses as the burning bush and where Ten Commandments were given to the children of Israel. The holy mountain of God is not referring to some mountain in heaven which the bible does not talk about.

    • Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb...And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. [Exodus 3:1,5]

    • And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. [1 King 19:8]

  • "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." -Open rebellion did not occur, (in another words: iniquity WAS NOT found) until Lucifer, the covering cherub walked in the garden of Eden and the mountain of God on the 6th day of creation.

  • Something that is about to happen in the garden of Eden deeply troubled this angel, he rebelled openly against God and his authority and was cast out of heaven forever. For it is written: "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." Luke 10:18

Early Writings 145, the Fall of Satan

"Satan was once an honored angel in heaven, next to Christ. His countenance, like those of the other angels, was mild and expressive of happiness. His forehead was high and broad, showing great intelligence. His form was perfect; his bearing noble and majestic. But when God said to His Son, “Let us make man in our image,” Satan was jealous of Jesus. He wished to be consulted concerning the formation of man, and because he was not, he was filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred. He desired to receive the highest honors in heaven next to God.

Until this time all heaven had been in order, harmony, and perfect subjection to the government of God."

  • Until this time, when God said to His Son “Let us make man in our image,” all heaven had been in order, harmony, and perfect subjection to the government of God."
