The way and ways of God are EQUAL. God is JUST and EQUAL.
“Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?…Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?” Ezekiel 18:25,29
“Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.” Psalm 17:2
“Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.” Colossians 4:1
The Son of God is GREATER THAN the angels. They are not equal.
“Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:4
Angels are GREATER THAN men, and men are GREATER THAN animals.
“But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands” Hebrews 2:6-7
“Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:21
“How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.” Matthew 12:12
Equity means to bring forth equality in judgment.
“Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.” Psalm 98:9
“The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.” Psalm 99:4
An example of God using equity to bring forth equality in the heavenly legal system can be seen in the case when Mary, the mother of Jesus, could not afford a lamb, instead, she brought a pair of birds for offering instead.
“And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.” Leviticus 12:8
“And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” Luke 2:22-24
Another example of God by equity, bring forth equality in judgment.
“But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48
Like the tithing system, 10% of the increase means more for the rich, less for the poor, but all amounts to equal 10%.
The sixth commandment “thou shalt not kill” is part of the second great commandment.
“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.’ Galatian 5:14
“And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31
A man killing a man is breaking God’s sixth commandment because both parties are equal and the law applies. A man killing bugs is not breaking God’s sixth commandment because man is greater than bugs and the law does not apply in this case.
“Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” Genesis 9:6
“God has given no man the message, Kill not ant or flea or moth. Troublesome and harmful insects and reptiles we must guard against and destroy, to preserve ourselves and our possessions from harm.” (3SM 329)
Consider the animals that were sacrificed while the temple was still standing.
Before the Son of God became the Son of Man, He commanded the destruction of the Canaanites. He, who was made much greater than the angels can give such a command to destroy man who are made lower than the angels.
“But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.” Deuteronomy 20:16-17
After the Word was made flesh and became one of us, equal with men. The Son of Man, cannot order killing without breaking the sixth commandment.
“For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.” Luke 9:56"
“But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels.” Hebrews 2:6-7
However, as a man, Jesus did not lose His divinity. He is still the Son of God, but chose not to exercise the power as the Son of God.
“Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” Matthew 26:53, The Son of Man did not exercise His right as the Son of God. He can but did not.
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” John 6:38
