The Third Angel’s Message Study (July 22, 2026)

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand.” Revelation 14:9

  • The above verse does not say “if any man worship the beast and his image will/shall receive his mark…”. It says: “if any man worship the beast and his image AND receive his mark…”

  • There are two verbs/action words inside the third angel’ message in verse 9. “worship” and “receive”. The worshipping of the beast and his image AND the receiving of the mark of the beast are two separate and different actions. These TWO actions will be mandated by Satan.

  • The beast is the Catholic Papacy and the image of the beast is the apostate Protestant of America. The deity of the Catholic and the Protestant is Trinity, the triune god. The Mark of it Beast is the Papal Sabbath (Sunday Law). Therefore, BOTH the worship of the Trinity AND the Sunday law will be enacted by the highest level of the government. Below is the god of America, which is the triangular god to the left, not the only true God of the Bible. America says in the triune god we trust.

  • The Mark of the beast is the papal sabbath” (Signs of Times Nov 8, 1899)

  • The decree has been passed by the highest earthly authority that they shall worship the beast AND receive his mark under pain of persecution and death.” (5T 212)

  • According to the prophecy of the Third Angel’s message, there will not be just the Sunday Law. There will be the Trinity Law and the Sunday Law merged into one - the Trinity Sunday Law.

“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation…” Revelation 14:10

  • The wrath of God without mixture is refers to the seven last plagues which will be poured out AFTER the close of probation. For it is written: “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.” Revelation 15:1

  • Those that worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand will receive the seven last plagues poured out by the seven angels.

The apostate Seventh-day Adventists will not partake of the seven last plagues poured out by the seven angels. However, they will be destroyed by the five angels found in Ezekiel 9 just before the outpour of the seven last plagues.

“He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” Ezekiel 9:1-6

  • The 5 angels with destroying weapon will follow the angel with the writer’s inkhorn and go through Jerusalem to slay God’s apostate people - the Seventh-day Adventists. This destruction takes place just before the destruction of the wicked by the seven last plagues because God said: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God…” 1 Peter 4:17

  • Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters—thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting. I asked who this company were. The angel said, “these are they who have once kept the Sabbath and have given it up.” I heard them cry with a loud voice—“we have believed in thy coming, and taught it with energy.” And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet—trodden the Sabbath underfoot, and that is why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting.” (Review and Herald, August 1, 1849) They had “once kept the Sabbath” and “believed” in the Second Coming of Jesus. No doubt this little company refers to the apostate Seventh-day Adventists.

  • Here we see that the church—the Lord’s sanctuary—was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God’s power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus “Peace and safety” is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together.” (5T 211.2) The wrath of God referenced here is not the seven last plagues which is poured out without mercy, but none the less it is the wrath of God.

By the time the seven last plagues begins to be poured out, there will not be any Seventh-day Adventists who will be alive that is not part of the 144,000.

  • Therefore, during the time of of trouble, the wicked which worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand shall not find the word of God among the Seventh-day Adventists people.

  • Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.” Amos 8:11-14

Interesting Note: There are 12 apostles, ministers of the gospel on earth. There are 12 angels, ministers of the wrath of God in heaven. “…in earth as it is in heaven…
