The heaven - SINGULAR
God created "the heaven" during the creation week. For it is written: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1)
This heaven, God created out of nothing on the second day of the creation week when He said "Let there be a firmament...and God called the firmament Heaven" (Genesis 1:6,8)
This heaven contains the suns, moons, and stars. We know this because God said, "let there be lights in the firmament..." (Genesis 1:14)
This heaven contains Sun, Moon, Planets, Birds. (Gen 1:16,20, Isaiah 13:10, 2 Kings 23:5)
This one firmament which He called Heaven is being shared with countless stars, it then became what is known as the "heavens".
For it is written: "Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea." Job 9:7-8
Similarly, one body of water is called water, but if this one body of water divides into smaller creeks, rivers and lakes, it then becomes waters according to the English used by the King James Bible.
There are THREE FORMS of heavens
Before the flood, PAST: "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished." 2 Peter 3:5-6
After flood, PRESENT: "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3:7
After 1000 years, FUTURE "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." 2 Peter 3:13
Conclusion:
There are 2 types of heaven: 1. God's throne 2. Sun, moon, stars, birds
There are 3 forms of heavens: 1. Before Flood 2. After Flood but before the end of 1000 years 3. After 1000 years
There are numerous quantities of heavens as there are numerous quantities of bodies of water.
